Welcome to Achilles Running Club Canberra Inc.
Achilles Canberra is allied with the Achilles Sydney Club and is working closely with RSB Canberra Blind Society, People With Disabilities, and Guide Dogs ACT/NSW.
Benefits of Membership:
Members choose from a range of training sessions, fun run events, and/or parkrun.
You can walk, walk/run, or run. Couch to 5 km or longer recreational runs.
If you have a vision impairment the club provides qualified guides.
Achilles Canberra pays the entry fees for members to fun runs.
The club has current public liability insurance and is registered as a charity.
We travel to running festivals in Sydney, Orange and Melbourne,
meeting up with members of Achilles Sydney and Achilles Melbourne.

Details for Sunday Training
Regular training sessions with coaches who are accredited with Athletics Australia. Come along and enjoy the benefits of walking or running and socializing.
When: Achilles Canberra training starts at 8: 00 am on the first, third and fifth Sundays of the month. Rain hail or shine (it usually shines).
Where: The meeting point is at the picnic tables between Soundy Close car park and Belconnen Skateboard Park. We walk or run beside Lake Ginninderra for up to an hour, taking in the sights, sounds of the foreshore.
After training : we have coffee at the picnic tables beside the lake.
Getting there is usually by car. Turn off Emu Bank to ample free carparking in Soundy Close, and walk to the picnic tables beside Lake Ginninderra. Lifts can be arranged.
